Pelican Cove Counseling Center

Pelican Cove provides individual, couple, and group therapy to those who are seeking open-ended and long-term mental health treatment and couldn’t otherwise receive such services due to financial limitations.

  • Pelican Cove has a dual mission; providing low income individuals access to quality, open-ended, long-term mental health treatment and to provide excellent training on psychodynamic and other insight oriented/humanistic orientations for our therapists. A key underlying component of our mission is to rely solely on private funding to avoid any undue influence that would prevent us from providing the type of long-term, open-ended care that we believe is essential to effectuating lasting improvement in mental health.

  • The nation is currently in a mental health crisis. Access to quality, open ended, long term therapy is vital for all regardless of their financial situation. Without treatment, the consequences of mental illness for the individual and society are staggering. Untreated mental health conditions can result in unnecessary disability, unemployment, substance abuse, homelessness, inappropriate incarceration, and suicide, not to mention poor quality of life.

  • Now! When we opened our doors in June of 2020, we offered approximately 100 therapy sessions per month. Fast forward to today, we offer 500+ therapy sessions monthly and anticipate doubling that in 2023. Don’t wait, now is the time to get the help you deserve or make a donation, if you are in a position to do so.
